Voor onze Sociale Dienst zijn we op zoek naar een maatschappelijk werker die inwoners van Hamont-Achel begeleidt bij sociale, financiële en administratieve vragen.

Je komt terecht in een betrokken team waar collega's elkaar helpen, ervaringen delen en waar er ook ruimte is voor een beetje humor. Want sommige dagen vragen nu eenmaal om een gezonde dosis relativeringsvermogen.

Wat ga je doen?

Als maatschappelijk werker begeleid je inwoners met uiteenlopende hulpvragen. Je bekijkt samen welke ondersteuning nodig is en zoekt naar oplossingen die aansluiten bij hun situatie.

Concreet ga je onder andere:

  • psychosociale begeleiding en ondersteuning bieden;
  • informatie, advies en praktische hulp geven;
  • dossiers behandelen rond leefloon, dringende steun en andere vormen van financiële hulpverlening;
  • dossiers voorbereiden voor het Bijzonder Comité en de beslissingen verder opvolgen;
  • samenwerken met collega's en externe partners;
  • cliënten ondersteunen om zo zelfstandig mogelijk verder te kunnen.

Het ene moment zit je in gesprek met een cliënt, het volgende werk je een dossier af of overleg je met een partnerorganisatie. Dat maakt de job afwisselend en boeiend.

Wie ben jij?

Je hebt voeling met mensen en kan goed luisteren. Tegelijk durf je ook duidelijke afspraken te maken wanneer dat nodig is. Je blijft rustig in moeilijke situaties en kan professioneel omgaan met gevoelige informatie.

Daarnaast:

  • beschik je over een bachelordiploma Sociaal Werk met de titel maatschappelijk werker, een bachelordiploma Sociale Gezondheidszorg of een diploma dat opgenomen is in het ministerieel besluit van 11 januari 2024 betreffende de diplomavereisten voor de functie van maatschappelijk werker binnen een OCMW;
  • heb je kennis van de sociale kaart en de werking van een OCMW;
  • werk je klantgericht en empathisch;
  • kan je situaties analyseren en prioriteiten stellen;
  • werk je nauwkeurig, discreet en gestructureerd;
  • ben je flexibel en stressbestendig;
  • werk je graag zelfstandig, maar evengoed samen met collega's;
  • beschik je over een rijbewijs B.

Ben je laatstejaarsstudent? Ook dan kan je solliciteren, op voorwaarde dat je je diploma behaalt binnen drie maanden na de selectie.
