Een goede asfaltverharding begint bij een nauwkeurige uitvoering. Als machinist wegenbouw bewaak je tijdens de werken mee de kwaliteit van de asfaltlaag en zorg je ervoor dat alles volgens de juiste afmetingen en voorschriften wordt afgewerkt. Een technische functie waarbij oplettendheid, samenwerking en verantwoordelijkheidszin dagelijks van belang zijn

Wat ga je doen? Binnen de asfaltploeg neem je een belangrijke rol op in de praktische uitvoering en afwerking. Je houdt het verloop van de werken goed in de gaten en grijpt in wanneer er bijgestuurd moet worden.

  • De afwerkbalk van de asfaltmachine bedienen
  • Toezien op een gelijkmatige en verzorgde verspreiding van het asfalt
  • Dikte en afschot van de asfaltlaag controleren
  • De machinist tijdig informeren wanneer de machine moet stoppen, rijden of bijsturen
  • Verwerkte hoeveelheden opvolgen en registreren
  • De voortgang en kwaliteit van de werken afstemmen met de asfaltuitvoerder
  • Afwijkingen tijdig signaleren en waar nodig meteen bijsturen
  • Controleren of de werkzaamheden beantwoorden aan de vooropgestelde plannen, veiligheidsvoorschriften en kwaliteitseisen
  • Samen met de collega's zorgen voor een efficiënte en correcte uitvoering van de asfaltwerken

  • Ervaring in de bouwsector, bij voorkeur binnen wegenbouw of asfaltwerken
  • Nauwkeurigheid en een goed oog voor een vlakke, strakke afwerking
  • Technisch inzicht en interesse in het verloop van asfaltwerken
  • Zelfstandig kunnen werken, maar ook vlot functioneren binnen een ploeg
  • Verantwoordelijkheidszin en gevoel voor planning en logistiek
  • Goede communicatie met collega's en leidinggevenden

  • Bereidheid om bijkomende opleidingen te volgen en het vak verder onder de knie te krijgen
