Je geeft leiding aan een team van 15 inkopers en werkt mee aan complexe en maatschappelijk relevante inkooptrajecten. Van onderhoud aan bestaande schepen tot de voorbereiding op nieuwe onderzeeboten en fregatten: wat jouw team inkoopt maakt indirect vrede en veiligheid mede mogelijk. In deze functie combineer je strategisch leiderschap met inhoudelijke betrokkenheid. Je coacht de mensen in je team in hun ontwikkeling, bewaakt de voortgang van aanbestedingen en helpt het team prioriteiten stellen in een omgeving waar veel tegelijkertijd gebeurt. Daarbij kijk je continu hoe processen slimmer kunnen met automatisering en AI. Je werkt intensief samen met projectleiders, engineers, leveranciers en met collega's van andere defensieonderdelen. Als manager van de inkoopsectie Scheepsbouw en Werktuigbouw ben je daarnaast onderdeel van het MT van de inkoopafdeling. Scheepsbouw en Werktuigbouw is 1 van de 5 secties daarvan.
