Wij maken het nog steeds mogelijk voor mensen met dementie uit Arnhem, Westervoort, Huissen, Duiven, Rheden en Renkum om samen met hun mantelzorger deze bijzondere ervaring te beleven - inclusief vervoer. In het Huis van Herinnering stap je binnen in de sfeer van de jaren zestig. Bekende voorwerpen, muziek, geuren en verhalen roepen herinneringen op en zorgen voor herkenning. Onder begeleiding van speciale herinneringscoaches ontstaan gesprekken die soms al lange tijd niet meer gevoerd zijn. "Vaak zien we dat deelnemers opleven door alles wat ze herkennen," vertelt vrijwilligerscoördinator en projectleider Jet Leenders. "Maar minstens zo bijzonder zijn de momenten die mantelzorgers ervaren. Even niet bezig zijn met zorgen, maar samen genieten van herinneringen en nieuwe gesprekken. " Een dagje uit zonder zorgen Voor mantelzorgers kan het lastig zijn om een geschikt uitje te vinden dat aansluit bij de belevingswereld van iemand met dementie. Het Huis van Herinnering biedt een veilige en ontspannen omgeving waar bezoekers op hun eigen tempo kunnen genieten. Daarbij hoeft niemand zich druk te maken over het vervoer. SWOA verzorgt het vervoer van huis naar het Huis van Herinnering en weer terug. Zo wordt een dagje uit toegankelijk voor iedereen. Extra aantrekkelijk: slechts €10 voor twee personen Om zoveel mogelijk mensen kennis te laten maken met het Huis van Herinnering geldt dit jaar een speciaal tarief. Voor slechts €10,- kunnen een inwoner met dementie en mantelzorger/begeleider samen deelnemen, inclusief vervoer en toegang. Ook organisaties kunnen via SWOA reserveren.
