Jouw rol in het team

Als Manueel Tester waak je mee over de kwaliteit van onze digitale toepassingen. Je test nieuwe functionaliteiten, bestaande processen en aanpassingen binnen een breed applicatielandschap.

Je voert niet gewoon testen uit. Je onderzoekt ook wat je ziet. Waarom loopt iets anders dan verwacht? Waar zit de oorzaak? Welke impact heeft dat op de gebruiker, de business of het proces?

Concreet betekent dat:

  • Je analyseert testvereisten en zet die om in duidelijke manuele testscenario’s.
  • Je voert gestructureerde manuele testen uit op nieuwe en bestaande functionaliteiten, vaak over verschillende systemen heen.
  • Je analyseert testresultaten, onderzoekt afwijkingen en registreert defects helder en nauwkeurig.
  • Je documenteert je bevindingen en volgt ze op via Azure DevOps of een gelijkaardige tool.
  • Je stelt gerichte vragen aan developers, analisten, product owners en andere stakeholders.
  • Je denkt mee na over de oorzaak van issues, mogelijke oplossingen en structurele verbeteringen.
  • Je bewaakt mee de kwaliteit van opgeleverde software, signaleert risico’s op tijd en draagt bij aan kennisdeling binnen het testteam.
  • Je denkt mee over hoe nieuwe tools en technologieën, waaronder AI, testers kunnen helpen om nog gerichter, slimmer en kwalitatiever te werken.

Je werkt dus op het kruispunt van IT en business. Daar maak jij het verschil: met je analytische blik, je kritische vragen en je gevoel voor kwaliteit.

Achter elke vlotte aanvraag, correcte verwerking of duidelijke opvolging zit software die moet kloppen. Als Manueel Tester help jij ervoor zorgen dat die toepassingen doen wat ze moeten doen: betrouwbaar werken, logisch aanvoelen en collega’s én klanten vooruithelpen.

Je komt terecht in een IT-omgeving waar developers, analisten, testers, product owners en businesscollega’s nauw samenwerken. Je krijgt ruimte om zaken uit te zoeken, verbanden te leggen en verbeteringen zichtbaar te maken.

Je staat er niet alleen voor: naast Jo, onze Dev Lead, kan je ook rekenen op Thomas, onze Tech Lead, en op chapter leads rond testing waar kennisdeling en nieuwe evoluties zoals AI regelmatig op tafel liggen.

Wim is jouw buddy, een vaste sparringpartner die een gelijkaardige rol als de jouwe invult binnen de organisatie. Als buddy helpt Wimje om snel je plek te vinden, ideeën af te toetsen en met vertrouwen impact te maken.

Je rol gaat verder dan fouten vinden. Jij helpt mee om onze toepassingen sterker te maken.

Je werkt deels van thuis en 2 dagen per week op ons hoofdkantoor in Antwerpen. Daar stem je af met je team, bespreek je testresultaten en blijf je dicht bij de collega’s met wie je samenwerkt.

Jouw assets

Je hebt al wat ervaring met manueel testen en wil daarin verder groeien. Je hoeft niet alles al te kennen, maar je brengt wel een stevige basis, nieuwsgierigheid en goesting mee.

Dit herken je bij jezelf:

  • Je hebt ervaring met gestructureerd manueel testen binnen softwareontwikkeling, applicatiebeheer of een vergelijkbare omgeving.
  • Je stelt testscenario’s op, voert ze zorgvuldig uit en volgt resultaten nauwkeurig op.
  • Je werkt analytisch, onderzoekt problemen grondig en legt verbanden tussen processen, schermen en resultaten.
  • Je communiceert helder met technische en niet-technische collega’s en durft door te vragen wanneer iets onduidelijk blijft.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, gestructureerd, zelfstandig en kwaliteitsgericht.
  • Je leert snel nieuwe applicaties, processen en tools kennen en denkt graag mee over hoe testactiviteiten beter kunnen.
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vlot Nederlands en hebt een goede kennis van het Engels.

Heb je basiskennis van SQL, API-testing, Postman of testmanagementtools zoals Azure DevOps, TestRail of Jira? Dan neem je een mooie extra troef mee. Ook ervaring met Agile werken of exploratief testen komt goed van pas.
