The posting

Onze projecten vragen om zwaar materieel. Van graaf- en hijskranen tot rupstractoren, sidebooms, stroomgroepen en ander gespecialiseerd rollend materieel. Dat materieel wordt ingezet op uiteenlopende bouwprojecten, in België en Europa. Geen twee projecten zijn hetzelfde en ook de materieelbehoefte verandert voortdurend.

Daarom zoeken we binnen onze Technical & Logistics Services (TLS) een Materieel Manager die ervoor zorgt dat onze projecten vandaag en morgen over het juiste materieel beschikken. Vanuit Wondelgem vorm je de centrale schakel tussen onze projecten, de materieelplanning, het atelier en onze leveranciers.

Een belangrijk deel van je rol is vooruitkijken. Je gaat proactief in gesprek met business unit managers en afdelingshoofden en brengt in kaart welk materieel zij de komende 6 tot 24 maanden nodig zullen hebben. Die informatie vertaal je naar onze interne planning, zodat we tijdig kunnen anticiperen en onze vloot zo efficiënt mogelijk kunnen inzetten.

Maar je kijkt verder dan planning alleen. Je denkt actief na over hoe we ons materieelpark technisch en organisatorisch kunnen verbeteren. Je volgt ontwikkelingen en innovaties in de markt, helpt RFQ's uitwerken en levert de technische input voor nieuwe investeringen. Zo bouw je mee aan een materieelpark dat aansluit bij de toekomstige behoeften van onze projecten.

Daarnaast neem je de leiding over onze ploeg zware mechaniek, bestaande uit een 5-tal medewerkers. Je stuurt niet noodzakelijk de dagelijkse werkzaamheden van iedere technieker aan, maar bewaakt wel het grotere plaatje: wat moet wanneer klaar zijn, welke prioriteiten stellen we en voeren we onderhoud of herstellingen intern of extern uit, op de werf of in ons depot? Ook het contact met leveranciers en de opvolging van wisselstukken behoren tot je verantwoordelijkheid.

Kortom: een veelzijdige functie waarin techniek, zwaar materieel, planning, mensen en toekomstgericht denken samenkomen.

  • Je hebt een sterke technische achtergrond en voelt je vooral thuis in de wereld van zwaar en rollend materieel. Een achtergrond in onderhoud is daarbij een sterke troef.
  • Daarnaast zoeken we iemand die sterk is in plannen, prioriteiten stellen en communiceren. Je kunt verschillende belangen tegen elkaar afwegen, houdt overzicht en krijgt mensen mee in je beslissingen.
  • Je bent bovendien proactief: je wacht niet tot een behoefte of probleem zich aandient, maar probeert erop te anticiperen.
