The posting

Als mechanical design engineer bij Scott Automation in Deerlijk vertaal je technische uitdagingen naar slimme, maakbare en betrouwbare mechanische ontwerpen. Je werkt mee aan projecten die uiteindelijk letterlijk tot leven komen op de productievloer bij onze klanten.

Je komt terecht in een multidisciplinair engineeringteam en werkt nauw samen met mechanical project engineer, electrical & controls engineers, productie, assemblage en andere collega’s. Naast het uitwerpen van projectspecifieke ontwerpen krijg je ook de kans om mee te bouwen aan nieuwe standaardoplossingen en onze technische bibliotheek verder te ontwikkelen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Als Mechanical Design Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, dimensioneren en technisch uitwerken van mechanische oplossingen.

Wat ga je doen

  • Je analyseert mechanische ontwerpvraagstukken en vertaalt projectvereisten naar concrete oplossingen.
  • Je werkt ontwerpen in detail uit in Creo, zowel in 2D als 3D.
  • Je voert waar nodig dimensioneringsberekeningen uit en bewaakt de technische haalbaarheid van je ontwerpen.
  • Je past bestaande standaardontwerpen aan volgens de specifieke eisen van het project en werkt mee aan nieuwe ontwerpen en R&D-projecten.
  • Je denkt actief mee over standaardisatie en helpt de componentenbibliotheek verder uit te bouwen en te onderhouden.
  • Je stemt mechanische keuzes af met collega’s.
  • Je voert risicoanalyses uit en zorgt ervoor dat ontwerpen voldoen aan de geldende normen, richtlijnen en veiligheidsvereisten.
  • Je stelt technische documentatie op, zoals montage-instructies en onderhoudshandleidingen.
  • Je biedt technische ondersteuning wanneer er tijdens montage, op de werf of bij de klant technische uitdagingen opduiken.

Jouw profiel

We zoeken een technisch sterke en nauwkeurige engineer die graag verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor zijn of haar ontwerpen.

  • Een hoger technische opleiding of gelijkwaardig door ervaring
  • Bij voorkeur minstens 5 jaar ervaring in een gelijkaardige functie
  • Ervaring met CAD software. Kennis van Creo en Windchill is een plus.
  • Een analytische ingesteldheid en het vermogen om technische problemen gestructureerd aan te pakken.
  • Een goeie kennis van Nederlands en Engels. Kennis Frans is mooi meegenomen.
