Bij Konnekt zijn we op zoek naar een Mechanical Design Engineer.

Onze klant is een internationale hightech machinebouwer met vestigingen in Europa, de Verenigde Staten en Azië. Vanuit hun R&D- en engineeringafdeling in België ontwikkelen, bouwen én testen ze volledig in eigen beheer innovatieve en gepatenteerde machines die wereldwijd worden ingezet bij toonaangevende industriële klanten.

Wat deze organisatie echt onderscheidt? De volledige ontwikkeling gebeurt onder één dak. Van concept en engineering tot softwareontwikkeling, assemblage en testing: je ziet jouw ontwerpen effectief tot leven komen.

Om hun engineeringteam verder uit te bouwen, kijken zij uit naar een Mechanical Design Engineer. Je krijgt de unieke kans om eerst een stevige technische basis op te bouwen tijdens internationale machineopstarts, waarna je doorgroeit naar een rol binnen Mechanical Design Engineering. Zo leer je de machines eerst volledig kennen in de praktijk, voordat je zelf meewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van de volgende generatie installaties.

Functieomschrijving Je start jouw traject binnen het internationale serviceteam, waar je gedurende ongeveer twee jaar de machines tot in de kleinste details leert kennen. Je neemt deel aan installaties, opstarten en technische interventies bij klanten wereldwijd. Deze praktijkervaring vormt de ideale basis om vervolgens door te groeien naar de engineeringafdeling als Mechanical Design Engineer.

Na dit traject werk je onder andere mee aan:

  • Het ontwerpen en verder ontwikkelen van hoogtechnologische machines.
  • Het uitwerken van mechanische constructies en technische oplossingen.
  • Het optimaliseren van bestaande ontwerpen en componenten.
  • Het samenwerken met collega's binnen Automation, R&D en Project Engineering.
  • Het begeleiden van projecten van conceptfase tot productie.
  • Het ondersteunen van innovatie- en ontwikkelingsprojecten binnen een internationale machinebouwomgeving.
  • Je beschikt over een Masterdiploma in Elektromechanica, Werktuigkunde of Mechanical Design.
  • Ook een Bachelor komt in aanmerking mits een relevante stage, studentenjob of eerste ervaring binnen machinebouw of mechanical design.
  • Je hebt een sterke interesse in mechanisch ontwerp, machinebouw en innovatie.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en/of Engels
  • Je bent bereid om tijdens het groeitraject internationaal te reizen. Na jouw doorgroei naar Mechanical Design Engineering beperkt het reizen zich tot ongeveer 10% van jouw tijd.
