Deze organisatie is een competence centre binnen een internationale pompfabrikant en ontwikkelt, produceert en verkoopt pompen en pompinstallaties vanuit een 16.000 m2 moderne productielocatie in Alphen aan den Rijn. De afdeling R&D speelt een cruciale rol in het ondersteunen van het productieproces en is verantwoordelijk voor de doorontwikkeling en het beheer van het productportfolio. Vanuit praktijkgerichte terugkoppeling van inkoop, verkoop, productie en assemblage vertaalt de R&D-afdeling randvoorwaarden en doelen van projecten naar concrete ontwerpspecificaties en realiseert zij prototypes en testopstellingen om materiaalvermoeiing en prestatiegedrag te valideren. In deze functie werk je nauw samen met collega’s van verschillende afdelingen om prestaties zoals rendement, trillingen en eigenfrequenties in kaart te brengen en verbeteringen te documenteren zodat beslissingen in breed overleg gewogen kunnen worden. In Alphen aan den Rijn biedt deze organisatie een omgeving waarin nauwkeurigheid, systematische documentatie en praktische uitvoerbaarheid centraal staan en waarin technische expertise wordt ingezet om producten klaar te maken voor in-productie-name. De R&D-werkzaamheden omvatten het ontwerpen van testmiddelen en het bewaken van productkwaliteit tijdens overdracht naar productie. De afdeling ondersteunt daarnaast selectievraagstukken en klachtafhandeling en blijft aanspreekpunt voor nieuwe feedback.
