Jobomschrijving

Voor een hoogtechnologische industriële omgeving zoeken we een Lead Mechanical & Piping Project Engineer die technische verantwoordelijkheid wil opnemen over investerings- en verbeterprojecten.

Je wordt hierbij geen klassieke Project Manager. Je blijft technisch betrokken, stuurt engineeringpartners aan en zorgt ervoor dat technische keuzes ook in de praktijk leiden tot veilige, betrouwbare en uitvoerbare installaties.

Jouw rol

Je werkt binnen een operationele industriële site aan multidisciplinaire CAPEX-projecten rond productie, infrastructuur en R&D. Je bent de technische rechterhand van de Project Manager en vormt de schakel tussen de verschillende engineeringdisciplines, leveranciers, contractors en de operationele organisatie.

Je Mechanical & Piping expertise vormt je technische basis, maar je kijkt steeds naar het volledige project.

Concreet:

  • Je bewaakt de technische scope, ontwerpfilosofie en projectvereisten.
  • Je coördineert en integreert engineering over verschillende disciplines heen: Mechanical & Piping, Process, E&I, Automation, Civil, Safety en Infrastructure.
  • Je beoordeelt en challenget technische ontwerpen, met aandacht voor veiligheid, betrouwbaarheid, onderhoudbaarheid, constructeerbaarheid en kosten.
  • Je bewaakt M&P-concepten, lay-outs, P&ID's, equipment-specificaties, piping routes en isometrieën.
  • Je stuurt EPCm-partners, leveranciers en contractors inhoudelijk aan en volgt hun deliverables op.
  • Je identificeert technische risico's en bekijkt de impact van wijzigingen op scope, timing, budget en uitvoering.
  • Je blijft betrokken van concept en engineering tot constructie, commissioning en oplevering.
  • Je ondersteunt technische specificaties, tenders en leveranciersselecties.
  • Voor Mechanical & Piping volg je waar relevant ook fabricage, inspecties, FAT, installatie, SAT en punchlists op.
  • Je zorgt voor duidelijke technische beslissingen, documentatie en rapportering richting stakeholders.
  • Je deelt je kennis met andere engineers en draagt bij aan standaarden en lessons learned.

Wie zoeken we?

We zoeken vooral iemand die technisch sterk is in Mechanical & Piping, maar zich comfortabel voelt in een multidisciplinaire projectomgeving.

Je brengt idealiter mee:

  • Een masterdiploma in een technische richting, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Ruime ervaring binnen Mechanical & Piping engineering in een industriële of procesomgeving.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met multidisciplinaire CAPEX-projecten, bij voorkeur van concept tot uitvoering en oplevering.
  • Ervaring met het technisch aansturen en challengen van engineeringpartners, leveranciers en contractors.
  • Kennis van relevante normen en engineeringstandaarden, zoals PED, ATEX en EN 13480.
  • Ervaring met projectaspecten zoals scope, planning, kosten, risico's en stakeholdermanagement.
  • VCA-VOL of bereidheid om dit te behalen.
  • Kennis van AutoCAD Plant 3D is een plus.
  • Je bent iemand die technische diepgang kan combineren met overzicht en pragmatisme. Je hoeft niet van elke discipline de specialist te zijn, maar je begrijpt wel hoe de verschillende puzzelstukken samenhangen.
  • Je communiceert vlot, neemt ownership en durft technische partners kritisch te bevragen wanneer dat nodig is.
  • Nederlands en Engels beheers je vloeiend.
