The posting

Als mechanieker interventies ben jij de drijvende kracht achter onze indrukwekkende industriële grondboormachines. Je groeit van mechanieker in het atelier naar een interventieman die zelfstandig diagnoses stelt en dringende problemen op werven oplost. Elke dag combineer je technisch inzicht, hands-on vakmanschap en een passie voor zware machines om onze werven draaiende te houden.

Jouw werkplek

In het begin zal je vooral tewerkgesteld zijn in het atelier op onze hoofdsite in Dessel. Het atelier ligt op een bedrijventerrein en is goed bereikbaar via verschillende verbindingswegen. Tijdens de middagpauze of na het werk kan je even ontspannen in de omliggende natuur, bijvoorbeeld met een wandeling in het Prinsenpark. Naarmate je verder groeit in de functie, zullen de werven steeds meer jouw dagelijkse werkterrein worden.

Jouw team valt onder de divisie Project Support binnen Smet-Boring, de ondersteunende dienst van Smet Group. Project Support werkt mee aan innovaties van idee tot uitwerking. De voorbereidingen in ons atelier en hoofdgebouw zijn cruciaal om werven vlot te laten verlopen. Kortom, Smet-Boring is de onmisbare schakel voor het realiseren van complexe bouwwerken.

Wat jij gaat doen

Je start in ons atelier in Dessel, waar een team van zo’n 60 techniekers werkt aan onze industriële grondboormachines en hun toebehoren.

Jouw belangrijkste taken:

  • Het uitvoeren van onderhoud en herstellingen aan onze grondboormachines.
  • Het doorvoeren van verbeteringen aan onze grondboormachines en boormaterialen.
  • Het aanpassen van grondboormachines voor specifieke werven.

Na een interne inwerkperiode ga je mee op pad met een interventiemecanicien om herstellingen, smeringen en diagnoses op onze werven uit te voeren. Stap voor stap draag je meer verantwoordelijkheid tot je volledig zelfstandig als interventieman kan worden ingezet.

Wie jij bent

  • Je beschikt over een rijbewijs B en eigen vervoer.
  • Je kan Nederlands spreken, lezen en schrijven.
  • Je hebt een bachelor- of graduaatsdiploma behaald in een technische richting of gelijkwaardige ervaring opgebouwd.
  • Mechanica kent geen geheimen voor jou.
  • Je bent gepassioneerd door zware technieken en grote machines.
  • Je hebt kennis van machineonderdelen, smering en slijtage.
  • Met je handen werken? Je doet niets liever. Je was altijd de handigste uit de groep. Je weet hoe je gereedschap gebruikt en kunt er vlot mee overweg.
  • Je beschikt over technisch inzicht en kunt goed omgaan met stress. Bij dringende problemen blijf je rustig, waardoor je snel en doeltreffend ad‑hoc oplossingen kan bedenken.
