Start People is op zoek naar enthousiaste Snuffelaars voor VITO, een toonaangevend onderzoekscentrum dat zich inzet voor een gezonde en duurzame leefomgeving. In deze unieke bijverdienste werk je mee aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek rond luchtkwaliteit en geurhinder. Heb jij een goede neus en zin om bij te dragen aan zuivere lucht? Dan is dit misschien wel iets voor jou.

Je takenpakket:

  • Als snuffelaar neem je deel aan geurmetingen in het labo van VITO.
  • Je beoordeelt of verdunde geurstalen (zoals mest, compost of andere omgevingsgeuren) al dan niet waarneembaar zijn.
  • Je gebruikt je reukzin als meetinstrument bij het uitvoeren van geuranalyses.
  • Je volgt nauwkeurig de richtlijnen en instructies van de begeleidende VITO-medewerker tijdens de analyses.
  • Je werkt geconcentreerd en samen met andere snuffelaars tijdens de analysesessies.

Jouw neus is daarbij ons belangrijkste meetinstrument!

  • Je hebt een normale en gezonde reukzin (niet uitzonderlijk sterk of zwak).
  • Je bent bereid deel te nemen aan meerdere screeningsmomenten.
  • Je werkt geconcentreerd en nauwkeurig.
  • Je bent zeer flexibel inzetbaar en kan op sporadische basis worden opgeroepen op onregelmatige momenten; je wordt hiervan telkens 2 à 3 dagen op voorhand op de hoogte gebracht.
  • Je bent flexibel ingesteld en voldoende beschikbaar, aangezien het niet om wekelijkse oproepen gaat.
  • Je hebt interesse in wetenschappelijk onderzoek en milieu-thema’s.
  • De snuffelmomenten vinden steeds plaats in de voormiddag.
  • Eén sessie duurt gemiddeld tussen 2,5 en 4 uur.
  • Ervaring is niet vereist; motivatie, nieuwsgierigheid en engagement voor het volledige traject zijn belangrijker.
