The posting

Als medewerker opbouw en inrichting speciale voertuigen werk je mee aan het bouwen van unieke brandweervoertuigen en interventiewagens die dagelijks worden ingezet door hulpdiensten. Je draagt rechtstreeks bij aan voertuigen die in kritische situaties moeten functioneren.

Je staat in voor het opbouwen en afwerken van voertuigen vanaf chassis tot volledig operationeel geheel. Dit omvat het integreren van componenten zoals pompen, leidingsystemen, lichtmasten en signalisatie, maar ook het functioneel inrichten van voertuigen met rekken, houders, sledes en opbergsystemen. Je zorgt ervoor dat elk voertuig praktisch, logisch en gebruiksklaar is voor de eindgebruiker.

Daarnaast voer je constructiewerk en maatwerk uit. Je bewerkt en monteert onderdelen door te zagen, boren, plooien en bevestigen (o.a. schroeven, riveteren, verlijmen). Je werkt op basis van technische plannen en zorgt voor een kwalitatieve en verzorgde afwerking.

Je werkt zowel zelfstandig als in team en denkt mee bij technische oplossingen. Nauwkeurigheid, technisch inzicht en oog voor detail zijn essentieel.

Deze functie biedt veel variatie en technische uitdaging: je werkt telkens aan maatwerkprojecten. Dit is geen repetitief montagewerk, maar een job waarin vakmanschap centraal staat.

Voor deze functie is een technische opleiding vereist (bv. metaalbewerking, carrosserie of gelijkaardig). Ervaring in constructie, metaal of voertuigopbouw is een pluspunt.

Deze vacature staat ook open voor schoolverlaters.

Je voert je opdrachten zelfstandig uit, maar kan terugvallen op een team en werkt onder toezicht van een werkplaatsleider.

Je bent polyvalent, planmatig en je past je snel aan.

Je werkt kwaliteitsgericht, handig en met oog voor detail, nauwkeurig en veilig.

Je kan een plan lezen en je begrijpt schema’s.

Je hebt de nodige voorkennis metaal, plaatbewerking.
