Medewerker Poli OK (24-32 uur) Veel patiëntcontact, verschillende behandelingen en werken in een gespecialiseerd team. Op de Poli OK combineer je jouw vakkennis met iets minstens zo belangrijk: patiënten op hun gemak stellen wanneer een behandeling aan het oog spannend is. Wat je doet Een behandeling aan het oog kan voor een patiënt best spannend zijn. Juist dan ben jij belangrijk. Je legt rustig uit wat er gaat gebeuren, begeleidt de patiënt tijdens de behandeling en weet met aandacht en een beetje humor de spanning weg te nemen. Dat persoonlijke contact maakt jouw werk waardevol - en wordt door patiënten vaak enorm gewaardeerd. Op de Poli OK komen patiënten voor kleinere oogheelkundige ingrepen en behandelingen onder plaatselijke verdoving. Van behandelingen van het hoornvlies en slijmvlies tot het behandelen van de traanwegen, het verwijderen van een chalazion en het verwijderen van hechtingen. Je hebt veel en intensief patiëntcontact en ziet op een dag veel verschillende mensen. Juist omdat een behandeling aan het oog voor patiënten spannend kan zijn, is jouw rol meer dan alleen het uitvoeren van handelingen. Met jouw rust, aandacht en een beetje humor help je angst weg te nemen. En dat wordt vaak enorm gewaardeerd. Je werkt daarbij samen met ongeveer 20 collega's: verpleegkundigen, doktersassistenten, spreekuurassistenten en oogartsen. De sfeer is ontspannen en collegiaal, met korte lijnen, ruimte voor humor en een echte Rotterdamse mentaliteit. Dit ga je onder andere doen: - Je bereidt behandelingen voor en zorgt dat alle benodigde materialen en apparatuur klaarstaan. - Je ontvangt en begeleidt patiënten en zorgt ervoor dat zij weten wat er gaat gebeuren en zich op hun gemak voelen. - Je assisteert de oogarts tijdens behandelingen en zorgt dat de behandelruimte na afloop weer gereed is. - Je voert verschillende handelingen uit, zoals het toedienen van oogdruppels, inbrengen van een infuus en verwijderen van hechtingen, en...
