Ben jij een ervaren tester met een technische achtergrond en een scherp oog voor kwaliteit? Als Medior Testspecialist speel je een belangrijke rol in het bewaken en verbeteren van de kwaliteit van complexe IT-oplossingen. Je combineert functioneel testen met technische kennis van SQL, SOAP UI en XML en werkt zowel binnen Agile/Scrum- als watervalprojecten. Je krijgt bovendien de ruimte om je verder te ontwikkelen richting complexere test- en SQL-technieken.

Functie omschrijving

  • Je analyseert technische en functionele requirements, ontwerpdocumenten en if/then/else-logica en vertaalt deze naar effectieve testscenario’s.
  • Je voert functionele en technische testen uit met onder andere SOAP UI, SQL en XML en bewaakt de testdekking doorheen de volledige productlevenscyclus.
  • Je analyseert en rapporteert defecten, bepaalt prioriteiten en volgt deze op tot een correcte oplossing.
  • Je werkt zowel binnen Agile/Scrum- als watervalmethodologieën en denkt actief mee over het optimaliseren van testaanpak en -technieken.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met testcoördinatoren, testmanagers, functionele analisten en andere stakeholders en neemt actief deel aan overlegmomenten.
  • Je deelt actief kennis binnen het team, ondersteunt collega's en draagt bij aan onboarding, feedbackmomenten en de verdere professionalisering van de testwerking.
  • Je hebt minimaal 3 jaar aantoonbare ervaring als testspecialist en ruime ervaring als functioneel tester, bij voorkeur in complexe IT-omgevingen.
  • Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met testscenario’s, formele testmethoden en -technieken en beschikt over een sterke analytische ingesteldheid.
  • Je hebt ervaring met SOAP UI, XML en SQL en kunt bestaande queries uitvoeren en eenvoudige queries schrijven; je bent bereid complexe SQL verder aan te leren.
  • Je hebt ervaring met watervaltesten en bij voorkeur met Agile/Scrum-testing; kennis van DevOps, VBScript en testautomatisering is een pluspunt.
  • Je beschikt over een ISTQB Foundation-certificaat of hoger en hebt ervaring binnen de Belgische energiesector en met klantgerichte processen.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Engels (minimaal C1) en beschikt daarnaast over een C1-niveau Nederlands of Frans; je bent proactief, leergierig en constructief in teamverband.
