Medisch beeldvormings- enbestralingsdeskundige (MBRT)Als medisch beeldvormings- en bestralingsdeskundige (MBB'er) in het Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuiswerk je op de afdeling Radiologie en/of Nucleaire Geneeskunde. Met behulp van moderne apparatuur en via verschillende technieken maak je foto's en scans om het inwendige van de mens inbeeld te brengen. Je maakt en bewerkt de beelden, beoordeelt deze op hun technische kwaliteit en bekijkt of de afbeeldingvoldoende medische informatie verschaft voor het vaststellen van een diagnose.Voorbeelden van dergelijke technieken zijn röntgenstraling, magnetische resonantie (MRI) of ultrasoon geluid (echografie). Opde afdeling Nucleaire Geneeskunde maak je beelden met behulp van radiopharmaca (radio-actieve stoffen).Naast het zelfstandig maken van diverse soorten opnamen assisteer je de arts bij complexe onderzoeken en behandelingen. Hetis van belang dat je patiënten die ongerust, bang of verdrietig zijn, goed kunt opvangen en kunt informeren over wat hen tewachten staat. Is dit beroep iets voor jou?AlsAls MBB'er werk je met complexe apparatuur en je kunt de apparaten nauwkeurig bedienen en instellen. Je werkt uiterstzorgvuldig bij het toedienen van straling en bent goed op de hoogte van alle regels over stralingshygiëne.Ook de bouw en functies van het menselijk lichaam en de ligging van de verschillende organen ken je heel goed. Tevens beschikje over goede communicatieve vaardigheden in de omgang met patiënten en kun je hen op hun gemak stellen. Je kunt te makenkrijgen met ernstig zieke patiënten en met slachtoffers van een zwaar ongeval.
