Onze werkzaamheden zien toe op de bestuursrechtelijke en strafrechtelijke handhaving van overtredingen in het water- en milieudomein. Zo houden we onder andere toezicht op de veiligheid van dijken, waterkwaliteit, lozingen, vaarwegen, grondwater en onderhoud. Je loopt mee, voert gesprekken en pakt (kleine) overtredingen op. Deze handel je onder begeleiding bestuursrechtelijk af. Als overtredingen ernstig zijn handelen we deze strafrechtelijk af. Te denken valt bijvoorbeeld aan de handhaving van visserijwetgeving, binnenvaart politiereglement, omgevingswet in verband met de wet op de economische delicten et cetera.
