Dan hebben wij goed nieuws: het Máximacollege in Ridderkerk is op zoek naar een docent-mentor praktijkonderwijs (0.8 - 1.0 fte) die ons betrokken team komt versterken! Hoe ziet je dag eruit? Als mentor en docent begint jouw dag met het verwelkomen van jouw eigen groep. Je bent voor hen het vaste gezicht en eerste aanspreekpunt - een vertrouwd baken in hun schoolweek. Na een korte opstart begint de klas met een theorieles of ga je met hen naar sport of praktijk. De theorielessen die je geeft zijn Nederlands, Rekenen, Engels en Burgerschap. Hierbij differentieer je op het niveau van de leerling en zorg je dat iedereen op zijn of haar eigen tempo vooruitgang boekt. Tussen de lessen door is er tijd voor begeleiding: je voert één-op-één-gesprekken met leerlingen die ergens tegenaan lopen, of juist met diegene die nét wat extra uitdaging nodig hebben. Je houdt vinger aan de pols, niet alleen qua prestaties, maar ook als het gaat om hun welbevinden. Jouw rol als mentor is daarin essentieel. Je klas heeft daarnaast drie keer per week een sportmoment en twee keer per week is er een dagdeel praktijk: dit is dé kans voor leerlingen om hun talenten in de praktijk te ontdekken en vaardigheden te ontwikkelen die aansluiten bij de echte wereld.
