Als mondhygiënist bij UZ Leuven draag je bij aan topklinische preventieve mondzorg binnen een multidisciplinair universitair team dat elke dag grenzen verlegt.

Verleg grenzen als mondhygiënist

UZ Leuven en KU Leuven streven ernaar uit te blinken in patiëntenzorg, universitair onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Als koplopers in België en Europa willen we die positie behouden en versterken. Elke dag bundelen meer dan 10.000 enthousiaste medewerkers van UZ Leuven en 13.000 collega's van KU Leuven hun expertise.

De medische dienst tandheelkunde wil uitmuntende zorg bieden aan alle patiënten. Een ervaren, multidisciplinair team van clinici met brede expertise werkt daaraan mee. We willen tot de wereldtop behoren op het vlak van mondzorg, onderwijs en onderzoek.

De dienst tandheelkunde wil haar zorgaanbod uitbreiden door niet alleen tandproblemen te behandelen, maar ook meer aandacht te besteden aan preventie. Daarbij ligt de focus op patiënten met een verhoogd risico op cariës, zowel in de ambulante zorg als tijdens een ziekenhuisopname, zodat mondproblemen zoveel mogelijk voorkomen kunnen worden.

De tewerkstelling zal zowel plaatsvinden op de stadscampus als campus Gasthuisberg. Het betreft een contract van onbepaalde duur, voor 40% tot 60%.

Hoe verleg je grenzen?

Klinische taken:

  • Uitvoering en ondersteuning van preventieve mondzorgconsultaties binnen de bevoegdheden van de mondhygiënist.
  • Begeleiding en opvolging van hoogrisicopatiënten en patiënten met systemische aandoeningen inzake preventieve mondzorg.
  • Preventieve zorgverlening bij gehospitaliseerde patiënten in samenwerking met multidisciplinaire teams.

Ondersteunende en beleidsmatige taken:

  • Deelname aan de ontwikkeling van preventieve mondzorgprotocollen en workflows.
  • Actieve bijdrage aan de implementatie van preventieve mondzorgtrajecten.
  • Ondersteuning bij opleiding en coaching van zorgverleners.
  • Registratie, opvolging en kwaliteitsmonitoring van preventieve mondzorg.

Wat heb je daarvoor nodig?

Je beschikt over:

  • Een diploma professionele bachelor mondzorg
  • Een erkenning en visum mondhygiënist
  • Aantoonbare klinische ervaring in preventieve mondzorg is een pluspunt
  • Gevorderd niveau van het Nederlands is vereist (B2 - ITNA, CnAVT); kennis van Engels en Frans is een pluspunt.
  • Een blanco uittreksel uit het strafregister (model 596-2) is noodzakelijk indien je in deze functie in contact komt met minderjarigen.

Je bent:

  • Een diploma professionele bachelor mondzorg
  • Patiëntgericht, zelfstandig en kwaliteitsbewust;
  • Sterk in communicatie en patiënten educatie;
  • Geïnteresseerd in zorgorganisatie en preventiebeleid;
  • Gemotiveerd om te werken in een academische ziekenhuiscontext.
