Bij Loyen Desmedt in Maaseik zoeken we een mondhygiënist(e) die zijn of haar vak beheerst en verantwoordelijkheid wil opnemen binnen een professionele tandheelkundige omgeving.

Onze praktijk heeft een sterke expertise in orthodontie en behandelt dagelijks kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen. Mondhygiëne en preventie zijn daarbij geen afzonderlijke dienstverlening, maar een belangrijk onderdeel van het volledige behandeltraject.

Daarom zoeken we geen mondhygiënist(e) om uitsluitend een agenda met reinigingen af te werken.We zoeken een zorgprofessional die observeert, behandelt, opvolgt en klinisch meedenkt.

Jouw rol binnen de praktijk

Als mondhygiënist(e) krijg je een eigen agenda en volg je zelfstandig patiënten op binnen jouw bevoegdheden.Je voert preventieve en curatieve mondzorg uit, beoordeelt de mondgezondheid en stelt waar nodig een preventief behandelplan op.

Je begeleidt patiënten rond mondhygiene en therapietrouw en volgt de evolutie doorheen het behandeltraject.

Door onze sterke orthodontische activiteit werk je regelmatig met patiënten met vaste en uitneembare orthodontische apparatuur. Een goede opvolging van hun mondgezondheid is essentieel voor het uiteindelijke behandelresultaat.

Je werkt daarbij nauw samen met onze orthodontisten en tandartsen. Klinische observaties worden gedeeld en waar nodig wordt het behandelplan multidisciplinair afgestemd.

Wat verwachten we van jou?

Je beschikt over een bachelor Mondzorg en hebt een duidelijke professionele standaard.

Je werkt nauwkeurig, gestructureerd en zelfstandig.

Je kunt een mondsituatie correct beoordelen en weet wanneer overleg met een tandarts of orthodontist aangewezen is.

Je communiceert professioneel met patiënten en kunt hen duidelijk informeren en motiveren rond preventie en mondgezondheid.

Je neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor je agenda, je behandelingen en de opvolging van je patiënten.

En je functioneert graag binnen een team waarin kwaliteit, collegialiteit en professionele verantwoordelijkheid belangrijk zijn.

Ervaring is een pluspunt, maar geen vereiste. Ook een sterke pas afgestudeerde mondhygienist met ambitie en de juiste professionele houding komt in aanmerking.

Bachelor Mondzorg vereist.
