Je gaat werken aan robots die zelfstandig grijpen, stapelen, sorteren, verpakken en complete productieprocessen overnemen. Samen met monteurs, engineers en programmeurs bouw je aan robotinstallaties waarin mechanica, elektrotechniek en besturingstechniek samenkomen. Je monteert robotarmen, sensoren, motoren en aandrijvingen, sluit componenten aan en helpt mee om de installatie stap voor stap tot leven te brengen. De ene keer werk je aan een robot die razendsnel producten oppakt en verpakt, de andere keer aan een complete geautomatiseerde lijn waarin meerdere robots samenwerken. Je ziet dus niet alleen losse onderdelen, maar volgt het hele proces van opbouw tot een robot die uiteindelijk exact doet waarvoor hij ontworpen is. Naarmate je de techniek beter leert kennen, krijg je steeds meer vrijheid en verantwoordelijkheid. Zo werk je iedere dag met robotica, automatisering en slimme techniek die zichtbaar in beweging komt.
