De ene keer zoek je een storing aan een oplegger uit, de andere keer werk je aan remmen, onderhoud of APK. Geen lopendebandwerk, maar gewoon lekker sleutelen in een kleine werkplaats. Dit ga jij doen Als monteur trucks & trailers krijg je geen stapel met iedere dag hetzelfde werk. In de werkplaats komen trucks, trailers en opleggers van verschillende merken voorbij. Je voert onderhoud en reparaties uit, zoekt storingen op en werkt aan onder andere remsystemen, assen en andere technische delen van het voertuig. Soms staat er regulier onderhoud gepland, soms komt er tussendoor een trailer binnen die snel weer de weg op moet. Juist dat maakt het werk afwisselend. Je denkt zelf mee over wat er aan de hand is, overlegt met collega's en zorgt dat een voertuig technisch goed én veilig wordt afgeleverd. Ook draai je mee in de verschoven dienst. Eén week per drie weken werk je de hele week tot 19:15 uur. Je kunt die week later beginnen en gewoon je normale acht uur maken. Begin je liever op je gebruikelijke tijd? Dan bouw je de extra uren gewoon als overuren op.
