Bij KARUS werken we samen aan een warme, professionele en toonaangevende geestelijke gezondheidszorg. Vanuit onze missie – passende zorg op weg naar herstel voor mensen met psychische moeilijkheden en hun omgeving – maken we samen het verschil. Met een breed aanbod in de Gentse regio beschikt KARUS over 643 bedden en plaatsen. In ons ziekenhuis bieden we (hoog)gespecialiseerde behandelingen via een multidisciplinaire aanpak, zowel residentieel als mobiel. Daarnaast voorzien we ook een ondersteunend aanbod op het vlak van wonen en welzijn. Zo’n 850 medewerkers, artsen en vrijwilligers zetten zich dagelijks in, gedreven door onze waarden samen, open en zorgzaam. Als High Intensive Care-afdeling (HIC) bieden we herstel-ondersteunende zorg, behandeling en bescherming aan volwassenen in ernstige psychiatrische crisissituaties voor wie een gesloten opnamesetting noodzakelijk is. Een opname kan vrijwillig of gedwongen zijn en vloeit vaak voort uit een situatie die voor zichzelf of de omgeving moeilijk of ondraaglijk wordt. De HIC staat in voor observatie, diagnosestelling en kortdurende behandeling. Tijdens de opname trachten we tegemoet te komen aan de individuele noden van de persoon in crisis. Op die manier maken we herstel mogelijk en laten we zo snel als mogelijk de eigen regie terugvinden. De basis van onze zorg bestaat uit contact maken en contact behouden met onze zorgvrager. Dit doen we door veel in te zetten op face-to-facecontact en één-op-één begeleiding. Ook een gastvrije en ‘healing’ omgeving is een belangrijke factor in het herstelproces.

We zoeken een collega die:

  • Beschikt over een diploma bachelor of HBO5 in de verpleegkunde
  • Affiniteit heeft met de doelgroep
  • Bereid is om bij te dragen aan de verdere ontwikkeling van de afdeling
  • Krachtgericht werkt en crisissituaties kan hanteren
  • Present is en echt in contact
  • Zelfstandig kan werken in een multidisciplinair team
  • Houdt van directe communicatie en sociaalvaardig is
  • Flexibel is ingesteld en van uitdagingen houdt
