Bij Rijkswaterstaat leiden we je volledig op tot verkeersleider scheepvaart. Onze vaarwegen behoren tot de drukste ter wereld. Vanuit verkeerspost Nijmegen of Tiel leid jij de scheepvaart in goede banen. Je krijgt vanaf dag 1 een betaalde baan, ook tijdens je opleiding. Beschik je al over een vaste woonruimte op het eiland en klinkt dit als een interessante uitdaging? Als verkeersleider scheepvaart houd je de drukke Nederlandse vaarwegen veilig en bereikbaar. Je werkt achter meerdere schermen op de verkeerspost en begeleidt schippers over ingewikkelde knooppunten. Geen dag is hetzelfde door veranderend weer, drukte op het water en onverwachte incidenten. Je grijpt direct in wanneer de situatie op het water daar om vraagt. - Je begeleidt het scheepvaartverkeer veilig over de vaarwegen vanuit de verkeerspost. - Je helpt schippers vlot te navigeren bij drukke nautische knooppunten. - Je houdt continu toezicht via verschillende schermen en apparatuur. - Je grijpt snel en doelgericht in bij incidenten of aanvaringen op het water. - Je communiceert helder via de marifoon met schippers in het Nederlands, Duits en Engels. Samen met ruim 20 collega's werk je in een hecht team samen binnen het organisatieonderdeel Verkeer- en Watermanagement van Rijkswaterstaat. Vanuit de verkeerspost kijk je direct uit over het water en werk je nauw samen om de vaarwegen 24/7 veilig te houden.
