BESTUUR & ONDERSTEUNING 'NOODKREET' voor Nieuwe Bestuursleden! Achter de schermen staat er de komende maanden ook het nodige te gebeuren. Onze huidige voorzitter, Pascal Vermeulen, treedt per 31 december 2026 af. Daarom zijn we op zoek naar nieuwe mensen die V&K willen helpen besturen. Het liefst vinden we twee nieuwe bestuursleden, zodat we de werkzaamheden goed kunnen verdelen. Pascal vertelt hoe hij zelf ooit in het bestuur terechtkwam: "Een aantal jaar geleden las ik in de nieuwsbrief dat V&K dringend nieuwe bestuursleden zocht en dat het voortbestaan van de vereniging zelfs in gevaar kon komen als er niemand gevonden werd. Mijn dochter had het ontzettend naar haar zin bij V&K en dat leek me dus een heel slecht vooruitzicht. Ik heb toen Mieke, die naast bestuurslid ook de ledenadministratie en nog veel meer doet, gebeld om eens wat informatie in te winnen. Van het een kwam het ander en inmiddels doe ik dit alweer een aantal jaar met veel plezier. Door mijn drukke baan en omdat mijn dochter inmiddels niet meer turnt, wordt het steeds lastiger om het goed te combineren. Daarom vind ik dat het tijd is voor nieuw bloed in de organisatie. Ik hoop vooral dat er een paar mensen opstaan die V&K de komende jaren verder willen helpen. Met meerdere mensen is het echt prima te doen." Wat houdt een bestuursfunctie in? Schrik vooral niet van het woord 'bestuurslid'. We zoeken geen mensen die hier een halve baan bij willen hebben. Het gaat vooral om lichte bestuurlijke werkzaamheden, meedenken, af en toe overleggen en een aantal zaken binnen de vereniging coördineren. Nieuwe bestuursleden kunnen daarbij voor een groot deel zelf bepalen hoeveel tijd zij beschikbaar hebben en waar zij zich graag mee bezig willen houden. Er liggen bovendien een paar leuke en concrete projecten.
