Opleiding tot obstetrieverpleegkundige Wil jij werken op een afdeling waar geen dag hetzelfde is? Tijdens de opleiding tot obstetrieverpleegkundige leer je zorg geven aan moeder, kind en partner. Je werkt op de kraamafdeling en op de verloskamers, waar je gezinnen begeleidt tijdens een bijzondere periode. Wat doe je als obstetrieverpleegkundige? Als obstetrieverpleegkundige geef je gezinsgerichte zorg. Je zorgt voor moeders en baby's op de kraamafdeling, bijvoorbeeld na een bevalling of keizersnede. Ook begeleid je de partner. Je geeft veel uitleg en helpt ouders op weg in de eerste dagen als gezin. Je doet controles, ondersteunt bij de verzorging en let goed op hoe het met moeder en kind gaat. Op de verloskamers ondersteun je de verloskundige of gynaecoloog tijdens bevallingen. Je neemt anamneses af, registreert en beoordeelt hartfilmpjes en helpt bij acute situaties. Je werkt meestal met gezonde vrouwen die een grote gebeurtenis meemaken: de geboorte van hun kind. Soms is er extra zorg nodig, bijvoorbeeld bij zwangerschapsvergiftiging, een keizersnede of als een baby na de geboorte observatie nodig heeft. Het werk is afwisselend: het kan rustig zijn, maar ook ineens heel druk. Je werkt in een hecht team met onder andere gespecialiseerd verpleegkundigen, verloskundigen en gynaecologen. Wat neem je mee? Je komt in aanmerking voor de opleiding als je: - Een MBO-V of HBO-V diploma hebt; - minimaal 1 jaar ervaring hebt als verpleegkundige op een algemene verpleegafdeling; - tijdens de opleiding minimaal 28 uur per week werkt; - bereid bent om alle diensten te draaien; - interesse hebt in geboortezorg en graag werkt met moeder, kind en partner. Deze opleiding past bij jou als je goed kunt schakelen en stressbestendig bent. Je vindt acute zorg interessant, maar je hebt ook geduld en aandacht voor begeleiding.
