Onze opdrachtgever is een vooraanstaande, internationale logistieke speler met een sterke verankering in de Antwerpse haven. Vanuit een dynamische werkomgeving sturen zij complexe wereldwijde zeevrachtstromen en douaneprocessen aan. Je komt terecht in een ambitieus team waar expertise, efficientie en kwaliteit centraal staan.

Als Senior Ocean Freight Douane Supervisor ben jij de inhoudelijke spilfiguur in het stroomlijnen van alle douaneformaliteiten voor zeevracht binnen de regio Antwerpen. Je draagt de eindverantwoordelijkheid voor de vlekkeloze en correcte administratieve afhandeling van import- en exportdossiers volgens de geldende wetgeving. Met jouw opgebouwde expertise stuur je een operationeel team van declaranten sturend aan en zorg je voor een efficiente werk- en capaciteitsplanning. Je anticipeert proactief op knelpunten binnen douaneprocessen en weet acute vraagstukken snel en doeltreffend op te lossen. Daarnaast informeer en adviseer je klanten en interne medewerkers op deskundige wijze over complexe douane-aangelegenheden. Dankzij jouw organisatorische inzicht optimaliseer je bestaande werkprocessen, systemen en procedures om de operationele werking naar een hoger niveau te tillen. In deze rol combineer je grondige vakkennis van maritieme douane met leidende en communicatieve vaardigheden. Je bent de steun en toeverlaat voor junior collega's en fungeert als vakinhoudelijk aanspreekpunt voor het management. Onze opdrachtgever biedt jou een uitdagende functie met veel autonomie, impact en ruime doorgroeimogelijkheden binnen een professionele omgeving.

  • Aansturen en begeleiden van het douaneteam, inclusief takenverdeling, capaciteitsbenutting en het beheer van de verlofplanning.
  • Vlekkeloos en tijdig afhandelen van alle complexe douaneformaliteiten en bijbehorende administratie binnen de gestelde termijnen.
  • Optreden als deskundig aanspreekpunt voor klanten en medewerkers inzake douane-aangelegenheden en regelgeving.
  • Actief analyseren en optimaliseren van douanesystemen, werkprocessen en operationele procedures.
  • Bewaken van nauwkeurigheid en correctheid bij de naleving van douanewetgeving voor zowel zeevracht import als export.
  • Minimaal 4 jaar aantoonbare, relevante werkervaring als declarant of douanespecialist, met grondige praktische kennis van zeevracht import en export.
  • Uitstekende beheersing van het Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk (logistiek en douanejargon vereist).
  • Sterk organisatorisch vermogen, oog voor detail, stressbestendig en inzicht in het optimaliseren van logistieke/douaneprocessen.
  • Oplossingsgericht, proactief, communicatief vaardig en een gedreven teamplayer met leidinggevend potentieel.
  • Bachelor werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur aangevuld met specifieke douane-opleidingen of certificaten.
