Ons team Stedelijk Waterbeheer onderhoudt zo'n 2.500 mini-gemalen in het buitengebied rond Nijmegen. Als Onderhoudsmonteur drukriolering ga jij zelfstandig op pad om deze installaties te onderhouden. Wat ga je doen? Als Onderhoudsmonteur drukriolering zorg je voor het onderhoud van onze drukriool gemalen. Je bezoekt dagelijks 4 tot 10 mini-gemalen. Soms liggen ze dicht bij elkaar, soms midden in het groen of wat lastiger bereikbaar. Je haalt de pomp eenvoudig omhoog, omdat deze vastzit aan een geleider. Dit doe je handmatig. Voor zwaardere pompen gebruik je een takelsysteem. Dan spuit je deze schoon met hoge druk, verricht je wat elektrotechnische metingen en controleer je de verdere werking volgens een vaste procedure. Je bevindingen leg je vast op de tablet die je van ons meekrijgt. Is werken aan deze gemalen vies? Afvalwater ruikt niet naar bloemetjes. Dat zeggen we gewoon eerlijk. Maar onze systemen zijn zo in elkaar gezet dat je ze eenvoudig omhoog kunt halen en met hoge druk af kunt spuiten. Uiteraard krijg je volledig uitgeruste werkbus mee waarin alle benodigde beschermingsmiddelen aanwezig zijn en waarin je ook je handen kunt wassen. Zo kun jij op een veilige en hygiënische manier je werk uitvoeren.
