Voor de indrukwekkende site van Umicore in Hoboken zoeken we een ervaren Onderhoudstechnieker Mechanica voor de high-tech afdeling Precious Metals Refining (PMR). In deze innovatieve omgeving, waar edelmetalen op grote schaal worden gerecycled, ben jij de onmisbare schakel voor het mechanische rendement van de plant.

Jouw kaliber: Wie zoeken we?

We zoeken een zelfstandige techneut die denkt in oplossingen en die de rust bewaart op een grote, dynamische industriële site.

  • Opleiding: Je hebt een TSO-diploma in Mechanica, Elektromechanica of een gelijkwaardige richting.
  • Ervaring: Je hebt minstens 3 jaar relevante ervaring als mechanieker in een zware industriële omgeving (bijv. chemie, petrochemie, zware industrie of procesindustrie).
  • Vakkennis: Tandwielen, lagers, uitlijningen en mechanische dichtingen hebben voor jou absoluut geen geheimen. Je hebt een diepgaand mechanisch inzicht.
  • Mentaliteit: Je werkt nauwgezet en veilig. Je kunt zelfstandig beslissingen nemen op de vloer, maar functioneert ook uitstekend binnen een hecht technisch team.

Het echte werk: Wat ga je doen?

Binnen de PMR-afdeling werk je aan een enorm divers en technisch uitdagend machinepark. Dit is geen bandwerk of simpelweg bouten aandraaien; jij bent verantwoordelijk voor het zwaardere en het hoogpregetoneerde precisiewerk.

  • Complexe mechanische interventies: Je voert uitdagend onderhoud en vervangingen uit aan cruciale installaties, zoals emailreactoren, hijskabels, bruggen en roerders uitgerust met complexe mechanische pakkingen.
  • Hoogwaardig precisiewerk: Je staat in voor het uiterst nauwkeurig uitlijnen van pompen en motoren. Waar nodig voer je zelfstandig aanpassingswerken uit.
  • Troubleshooting & Analyse: Bij mechanische defecten ga je analytisch te werk om de storing snel te lokaliseren en permanent op te lossen.
  • Draaierij & Engineering: Je leest vlot complexe technische plannen en maakt zelf schetsen van specifieke onderdelen die in onze eigen draaierij op maat gemaakt moeten worden.
  • Kennisbeheer: Je duikt zelfstandig in technische documentatie om de juiste passingen en toleranties te bepalen.
