Functietitel: Onderzoeksleider Recruiter: Rhobin Brander Vacature-ID: 4552 Onderzoeksleider Chemische Waterkwaliteit Voor het Centrum Waterexpertise & Innovatie zoeken wij een Onderzoeksleider Chemische Waterkwaliteit ter versterking van Team Technologie & Onderzoek (subteam Waterkwaliteit). Dit team vormt het kenniscentrum voor drinkwaterkwaliteit binnen Vitens. Als onderzoeksleider initieer, coördineer en begeleid je onderzoek en innovatie op het gebied van chemische waterkwaliteit. Je standplaats is het laboratorium van Vitens in Leeuwarden, waar kwaliteit, betrouwbaarheid en continue verbetering van analyses, processen en kennisontwikkeling centraal staan. Hier werken we samen aan een belangrijke maatschappelijke opgave: iedere dag één miljard liter drinkwater van topkwaliteit winnen, zuiveren en leveren. Want elke druppel telt. Nu en in de toekomst. Wat doet een onderzoeksleider bij Vitens? Als onderzoeksleider initieer en coördineer je onderzoeksprojecten binnen het laboratorium van Vitens, met een focus op chemische waterkwaliteit. Je volgt ontwikkelingen binnen de drinkwatersector en de wetenschap op de voet en vertaalt nieuwe inzichten naar onderzoeksvoorstellen en innovatieve projecten. Je bewaakt de voortgang, kwaliteit en het budget van meerdere projecten, geeft functioneel leiding aan de onderzoeksanalist chemie en onderhoudt de verbinding met operationele teams, strategische clusters en externe stakeholders. Je werkt aan actuele vraagstukken rondom onder meer opkomende stoffen, PFAS, bestrijdingsmiddelen en geavanceerde analysetechnieken, zoals bioassays, Non-Target Screening en LC/GC-MS/MS. Daarmee draag je eraan bij dat Vitens ook in de toekomst kan voldoen aan de steeds strengere eisen voor drinkwaterkwaliteit. Daarnaast ben je het eerste aanspreekpunt voor methodontwikkeling en nieuwe chemische waterkwaliteitsvraagstukken, zowel binnen als buiten Vitens.
