Propósito del puesto

Asegurar el funcionamiento seguro, eficiente y continuo de las calderas industriales, garantizando el suministro de vapor o agua caliente requerido en los procesos de la planta.

Funciones principales

Operar, vigilar y controlar calderas industriales de acuerdo con los parámetros de seguridad y eficiencia.

Realizar ajustes en la presión, temperatura y flujo de combustible según la demanda de producción.

Ejecutar purgas, limpiezas y pequeñas reparaciones preventivas.

Supervisar indicadores de funcionamiento (manómetros, termómetros, válvulas de seguridad, sistemas automáticos).

Registrar en bitácora los datos diarios de operación y reportar anomalías.

Cumplir y hacer cumplir normas de seguridad industrial y medioambiental.

Tareas específicas

Encender y apagar calderas según programas de producción.

Monitorear el nivel de agua y la calidad del vapor generado.

Verificar el correcto suministro de combustible y oxígeno en la combustión.

Mantener en buen estado accesorios y dispositivos de seguridad.

Apoyar al área de mantenimiento en reparaciones mayores.

Participar en inspecciones técnicas y auditorías.

Requisitos del puesto

Formación: Educación secundaria completa (mínimo) y certificación como operador de calderas.

Experiencia: 1–2 años en operación de calderas o plantas térmicas (deseable).

Conocimientos técnicos: mecánica básica, electricidad, combustión, termodinámica y normativa de seguridad.

Competencias: responsabilidad, atención al detalle, capacidad de reacción, trabajo en equipo.

Condiciones de trabajo

Turnos rotativos (día/noche).

Trabajo en ambientes con calor, ruido y exposición a vapor/combustibles.

Uso obligatorio de equipo de protección personal (EPP)..
