The posting

Voor een stabiele onderneming in de Antwerpse haven, actief in de verwerking van vloeibare afvalstromen, zoeken we een Operationeel Verantwoordelijke Chemie. Iiemand met een chemische of biochemische achtergrond en ambitie om door te groeien binnen operations. Je begrijpt hoe olie, water en verwerkingsprocessen werken en wilt die kennis inzetten in een brede functie met verantwoordelijkheid.

Je werkt nauw samen met de andere Operations Manager en rapporteert aan de General Manager. Jouw focus ligt op de oliehoudende afvalstromen en de organisatie die daarbij komt kijken. Je leert de volledige werking kennen: van de inzameling en transportplanning tot de verwerking, administratie en wettelijke verplichtingen.

Jobomschrijving

  • Je volgt samen met de Operations Manager de verwerking van oliehoudende afvalstromen op.
  • Je plant inkomende en uitgaande transporten en stemt af met de werkvloer, transporteurs en externe verwerkingscentra.
  • Je zorgt dat transportdocumenten, afvalstoffenregisters en wettelijke aangiftes correct en tijdig worden opgevolgd.
  • Je verdiept je in de relevante wetgeving en vertaalt deze naar de dagelijkse werking.
  • Je controleert facturatiegegevens, volgt kosten op en koopt verbruiksgoederen en transportdiensten aan.
  • Je analyseert gegevens uit het ERP-systeem en zoekt mee naar manieren om processen efficiënter te organiseren.
  • Je werkt mee aan duidelijke procedures en werkinstructies, met aandacht voor ISO, kwaliteit, veiligheid en milieu.
  • Je neemt op termijn een grotere rol op in de aansturing en uitbouw van het team.

Profiel

  • Je hebt een diploma als bio-ingenieur, industrieel ingenieur chemie of professionele bachelor in een chemische of vergelijkbare technische richting.
  • Je hebt inzicht in de eigenschappen van olie en water en kunt je de bijbehorende verwerkingsprocessen eigen maken.
  • Je hebt minstens vijf jaar relevante ervaring, bij voorkeur binnen de chemie, procesindustrie of afvalverwerking.
  • Je werkt vlot met ERP-systemen en kunt cijfers vertalen naar bruikbare inzichten.
  • Je wilt doorgroeien en bent bereid om daar stap voor stap de nodige kennis en verantwoordelijkheid voor op te bouwen.
