The posting

Als Operations Manager ben jij verantwoordelijk voor de strategische en operationele aansturing van meerdere terminals verdeeld over de haven van Gent. Met jouw visie, leiderschapsstijl en financiële kennis professionaliseer je de operaties, optimaliseer je processen en zorg je voor duurzame groei op een veilige manier.

Takenpakket:

  • De bedrijfsstrategie vertalen naar duidelijke doelstellingen en actieplannen voor de verschillende terminals.
  • Opstellen, beheren en opvolgen van budgetten, forecasts en investeringsplannen.
  • Analyseren van financiële resultaten, identificeren van optimalisatie‑opportuniteiten en sturen op rendabiliteit.
  • Uitvoeren van kostenanalyse en implementeren van kostenbesparende initiatieven zonder kwaliteitsverlies.
  • Het bewaken en optimaliseren van operationele prestaties (KPI's: veiligheid, efficiëntie, productiviteit, kwaliteit, klanttevredenheid).
  • Het creëren van een cultuur van veiligheid, ownership, performance en continue verbetering.
  • Het harmoniseren van werkwijzen en processen tussen de verschillende locaties.
  • Implementeren van continuous improvement‑programma's, lean‑initiatieven en digitaliseringsprojecten.
  • Optimaliseren van capaciteitsplanning, personeelsplanning en equipment‑management.
  • Samenwerken met het commerciële team rond klantverwachtingen en contractuele afspraken.
  • Onderhouden van relaties met havenautoriteiten, inspecties en externe partners.
  • Rapporteren van resultaten en strategische inzichten aan het directieteam.
  • Je beschikt over een masterdiploma in Supply Chain, Engineering of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Je hebt minimaal 7 à 10 jaar ervaring in een leidinggevende en operationele functie binnen een industriële omgeving.
  • Ervaring binnen een maritieme context is een pluspunt.
  • Je bent sterk in people leadership, change management en multi-site aansturing.
  • Je bent analytisch, resultaatgericht en financieel onderlegd.
  • Je bent communicatief sterk, hands‑on ingesteld en in staat om snel en doordacht te schakelen wanneer de context daarom vraagt.
