- Operator zaadschoning Vacature junior veredelaar Wil jij je als veredelaar in de praktijk verder ontwikkelen of het vak juist in de praktijk leren? En ben je graag praktisch bezig? In deze functie combineer je beide! Vandinter Semo is in Scheemda al vanaf 1914 actief in zaadteelt, zaadhandel en onderzoek voor tuin- en akkerbouw. In de afgelopen decennia hebben wij ons ontwikkeld tot specialist in diverse groenbemesters en andere gewassen ten behoeve van een gezondere bodem. Binnen Research werken we aan de ontwikkeling en verbetering van nieuwe rassen, die bijdragen aan onze missie. Voor de verdere ontwikkeling en uitvoering van onze kweek- en onderzoeksprogramma's zoeken wij een Junior Veredelaar. Wat ga je doen? Als Junior Veredelaar werk je mee aan onze kweek- en onderzoeksprogramma's en leer je het volledige veredelingsproces kennen: van het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van kruisingen en proeven tot het beoordelen van gewassen, het maken van selecties en het verwerken van resultaten. Je werkt hierbij nauw samen met het Hoofd Research, die je begeleidt in je ontwikkeling. Naarmate je kennis en ervaring toenemen, ga je steeds zelfstandiger werken en krijg je meer inhoudelijke en organisatorische verantwoordelijkheid. Het doel is dat je je ontwikkelt tot zelfstandig veredelaar en steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid krijgt binnen onze veredelingsprogramma's. In deze functie: - werk je mee aan de voorbereiding, uitvoering en beoordeling van kweek- en onderzoeksprogramma's en denk je mee over veredelingsdoelen, proefplannen en beoordelingscriteria. - voer je waarnemingen uit, beoordeel je gewassen en verwerk, analyseer en interpreteer je de resultaten. Samen met het Hoofd Research bespreek je de keuzes over selecties, kruisingen en de ontwikkeling van nieuwe rassen. - coördineer je de praktische en administratieve uitvoering, waaronder proefvelden, landhuur, zaaizaad, labels, materialen, registraties en rassenaanmeldingen, en bewaa...
