Wil jij als optometrist zelfstandig werken, je vak verder verdiepen én ervaren hoe breed oogzorg kan zijn? Bij de Universiteitskliniek voor Oogheelkunde van het MUMC+ combineer je patiëntenzorg op verschillende locaties met de kennis en mogelijkheden van een academische omgeving. Je draait zelfstandig spreekuren binnen het tweedelijnscentrum van het MUMC+ en bent daarnaast werkzaam bij Zuyderland MC in Heerlen en op de stadspoli in Maastricht. Op de stadspoli bieden we 1,5-lijnszorg: laagdrempelige oogzorg dichtbij de patiënt, met korte lijnen naar de tweede lijn. Ook krijg je de mogelijkheid om te werken binnen het Academisch Refractie Centrum van het MUMC+. Hier krijg je te maken met uiteenlopende refractie- en visusvraagstukken en werk je binnen een omgeving waarin specialistische kennis, innovatie en ontwikkeling centraal staan. De afwisseling tussen deze locaties en zorgvormen maakt je werk veelzijdig. Je hebt veel eigen verantwoordelijkheid, ziet een brede patiëntengroep en kunt binnen je eigen deskundigheidsgebied zelfstandig beslissingen nemen. Tegelijkertijd zijn oogartsen en andere collega's dichtbij voor overleg wanneer dat nodig is. We vinden het belangrijk dat je plezier hebt in je werk én ruimte ervaart om jezelf te ontwikkelen. Wil je je verder specialiseren, nieuwe vaardigheden leren of op termijn doorgroeien naar een andere rol? We kijken graag samen met jou naar de mogelijkheden. Een opleiding tot Physician Assistant (PA) behoort bijvoorbeeld tot de mogelijkheden.
