The posting

Binnen doelgroepteam dove en slechthorende kinderen (DSH) en team nacht- en weekendwerking zoeken we een nieuwe collega voor een vaste opdracht.

Als opvoeder-begeleider maak je, samen met je collega’s, dagelijks het verschil voor de kinderen die in het MFC opgevangen worden en verblijven. Je maakt deel uit van een multidisciplinair team met therapeuten, een maatschappelijk werker, de klasleerkracht en een teamcoördinator. In nauw overleg met de ouders realiseert het team de doelstellingen van het individueel handelingsplan. Samen met de andere leden van je team organiseer je het dagelijkse leven binnen de leefgroep en bouw je orthopedagogische activiteiten uit.

Je werkt in een 12 weken roulerend werkrooster welke je presteert op weekdagen aangevuld met diensten in de nacht- en weekendwerking. Concreet werk je gemiddeld 1 op 2 weekends. Het uurrooster wordt opgemaakt in samenspraak met de teamleden.

Je komt terecht in een hecht team, met fijne collega's waar je alle kansen krijgt om professioneel en persoonlijk te groeien.

  • Je hebt bij voorkeur een orthopedagogisch diploma (jeugd- en gehandicaptenzorg, persoonsbegeleider, bachelor/graduaat orthopedagogie) of een gelijkwaardig diploma (al dan niet door ervaring).
  • Je wil graag werken met dove en slechthorende kinderen en hun gezin.
  • Je wil graag werken met kleuters en lagere schoolkinderen met complexe zorgnoden die gebruik maken van verblijf in de week en/of in het weekend.
  • Je bent bereid je te verdiepen in onze 3 doelgroepen: dove en slechthorende kinderen, kinderen met autisme en kinderen met spraak- en/of taalontwikkelingsstoornissen.
  • Je hebt interesse in Vlaamse gebarentaal.
  • Je werkt heel nauw samen in team en hebt dan ook uitstekende, communicatieve vaardigheden.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en hebt een grote verantwoordelijkheidszin.
  • Je zal regelmatig uitstappen buiten het MFC begeleiden. Een rijbewijs B is dan ook een troef (maar geen must).
