Wat ga je doen? Als paraveterinair recovery word je intern opgeleid om in toenemende mate zelfstandig op de recovery te werken, waar de patiënten bijkomen uit narcose. Het patiëntenaanbod bestaat niet alleen uit chirurgische patiënten voor uiteenlopende ingrepen, maar ook uit dieren die diagnostische beeldvorming - zoals röntgenfoto's, echografie, MRI, CT of scintigrafie - of radiotherapie moeten ondergaan. Afhankelijk van je capaciteiten, interesses en ontwikkeling bestaat de mogelijkheid om op termijn verder te worden opgeleid tot een zelfstandig werkende anesthesiemedewerker. In deze rol draag je ook bij aan het praktisch anesthesiologisch onderwijs aan coassistenten, waaronder de klinische begeleiding en beoordeling. Daarnaast word je onderdeel van het planningsteam van de diagnostische beeldvorming en anesthesie. Dit team bestaat uit een coördinerend planner en drie paraveterinairen. Zij plannen en coördineren alle beeldvormende onderzoeken en anesthesieverrichtingen binnen de kliniek. Alle paraveterinairen in dit team zijn deels actief op de planning en deels op de werkvloer. Dit resulteert in een afwisselende en betrokken functie binnen een gespecialiseerde omgeving.
