Wil jij mee bouwen aan een warme en veilige leefomgeving voor jongeren die hun weg zoeken naar zelfstandigheid? Heb je een sterk pedagogisch profiel én krijg je energie van het ondersteunen en inspireren van een team? Dan zijn we op zoek naar jou!

Het Wereldpoortje is een kleinschalige werking van Het Open Poortje vzw voor 12 niet-begeleide minderjarige vluchtelingen (11-17 jaar). Samen met een betrokken team bieden we de jongeren dagelijkse zorg, begeleiding en ondersteuning op hun weg naar een stabiele toekomst. We zoeken een pedagogisch leidinggevende die samen met de coördinator het team ondersteunt en mee vormgeeft aan het pedagogisch beleid.

Jouw uitdaging:

Als pedagogisch leidinggevende

  • ondersteun en inspireer je medewerkers in hun begeleiding van de jongeren;
  • bied je pedagogische kaders en bewaak je de opvolging van individuele handelingsplannen;
  • leid je het pedagogisch overleg;
  • ondersteun je het team bij complexe situaties zoals agressie, zelfbeschadiging en psychische problemen;
  • werk je verbindend met voogden, scholen en andere partners rond de jongere;
  • help je medewerkers om het perspectief en de noden van de jongere centraal te houden;
  • ondersteun je samen met de coördinator de aansturing van het team;
  • werk je mee aan een pedagogisch klimaat waarin duidelijkheid, veiligheid, verbinding en nestwarmte samengaan.

Je sluit ook aan bij het pedagogisch overleg van de Kleine Wooneenheden, waar jongeren vanaf 16 jaar begeleid worden richting zelfstandig wonen. Daarnaast werk je samen met de andere pedagogen binnen Het Open Poortje aan het bredere pedagogische beleid.

  • Sterke communicatieve en verbindende vaardigheden.
  • Het vermogen om medewerkers te coachen, aan te sturen en te inspireren.
  • Een flexibele en stressbestendige houding.
  • Zin om bij te leren en pedagogische keuzes te maken in soms complexe situaties.
  • Een goede balans tussen nabijheid en professionele afstand.
  • Een kritische, doelgerichte en zelfstandige werkhouding.
  • Een brede kijk op diversiteit en hulpverlening.
  • Een rijbewijs en eigen wagen zijn een meerwaarde.
