Ben jij een ervaren persoonlijk assistent die stevig in zijn schoenen staat, om kan gaan met feedback, een gezonde dosis energie heeft en initiatief durft nemen, dan zijn wij op zoek naar jou!

Voor een warm gezin zoeken we een persoonlijk assistent die een jongen van 12 jaar met een autismespectrumstoornis (ASS) en een mentale beperking ondersteunt. Je helpt op schoolvrije dagen mee om hem structuur, rust en plezier te geven. Geen enkele dag is hetzelfde, waardoor jouw flexibiliteit en ervaring een grote meerwaarde zijn.

De uren worden gepresteerd op dinsdag en/of vrijdag en soms in het weekend. De uren op deze dagen kunnen besproken worden.

Je ondersteunt het kind tijdens activiteiten in huis en tijdens uitstappen. Zie dat je goed uitgeslapen bent want hij durft meermaals stunten uit te halen, zowel in de positieve als in de negatieve zin. Hij heeft geen gevaarsbesef en is erg onvoorspelbaar in zijn gedrag . Daarenboven beschikt hij over een hoge dosis energie waardoor je uithoudingsvermogen uitgedaagd kan worden.

Je werkt steeds samen met mama, die altijd aanwezig of in de buurt is. Zij is een echte ervaringsdeskundige en zal je met raad en daad bijstaan.

Jouw taken bestaan hoofdzakelijk uit:

  • Creatieve activiteiten (knutselen, pinata´s maken, …) bedenken en samen met het kind doen.
  • Met het kind ravotten, zwemmen of een mee ondersteunen tijdens een uitstap.
  • Ervaring is een must. Je moet thuis zijn in het werken met kinderen of jongeren met ASS en een mentale beperking.
  • We zoeken iemand die het kind op meerdere manieren probeert te triggeren om tot activiteit komen. Je moet hier initiatief in nemen en zeker niet opgeven als het kind niet onmiddellijk reageert.
  • Zeer flexibel is, aangezien de planning regelmatig kan wijzigen.
  • Beschikt over een rijbewijs B en een eigen wagen.
  • Rustig blijft in uitdagende situaties en signalen van overprikkeling kan herkennen.
  • Graag creatief en actief bezig is.
  • Geen angst of allergie heeft voor honden.
