Als PLC Automation Engineer werk je aan automatisatieprojecten binnen een industriële productieomgeving in Genk, waar betrouwbaarheid, veiligheid en modernisering centraal staan. De rol bevindt zich dicht bij de installatie, met een sterke link tussen engineering, softwareontwikkeling en uitvoering op de werkvloer.

Binnen deze opdracht ligt de focus op het ontwikkelen, onderhouden en optimaliseren van PLC-programma's voor installaties die worden aangepast, uitgebreid of vernieuwd. Zo draag je rechtstreeks bij aan robuustere productieprocessen en een toekomstgericht machinepark.

Wat ga je doen?

PLC-programmatie en softwareontwikkeling

  • Ontwikkelen en onderhouden van PLC-programma's binnen Siemens TIA Portal en Siemens S7 Simatic Manager.
  • Programmeren volgens interne softwarestandaarden na een gerichte opleiding op de site.
  • Schrijven van gestructureerde, duidelijke en onderhoudsvriendelijke code met correcte commentaar.
  • Analyseren van bestaande software en doorvoeren van optimalisaties in functie van stabiliteit en efficiëntie.
  • Ondersteunen van automatisatieprojecten waarbij installaties worden aangepast, uitgebreid of vernieuwd.

Technische afstemming en opvolging op de werkvloer

  • Samenwerken met collega's uit engineering, productie en onderhoud om automatisatieprojecten vlot te realiseren.
  • Opvolgen van softwarematige wijzigingen aan de installatie en bewaken van een correcte implementatie.
  • Aantonen en onderbouwen van technische keuzes op basis van kwaliteit, veiligheid en betrouwbaarheid.
  • Meedenken rond machine safety en process safety waar relevant binnen de projectcontext.
  • Bijdragen aan een gestructureerde projectaanpak, van voorbereiding tot testfase en oplevering.
  • Je beschikt over een masterdiploma of professionele bachelor, aangevuld met relevante ervaring in PLC-programmatie.
  • Je hebt kennis van Siemens TIA Portal en Siemens S7 Simatic Manager binnen industriële automatisatieomgevingen.
  • Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring binnen industriële EAI-projecten en voelt je comfortabel in een productieomgeving.
  • Je hebt interesse in machine safety en process safety, of bent bereid om deze kennis verder uit te bouwen.
  • Je bent beschikbaar voor een voltijdse opdracht van ongeveer twee jaar en staat open voor een mogelijke vaste overstap.
  • Je woont idealiter binnen ongeveer één uur van Genk, zodat aanwezigheid op de site praktisch haalbaar blijft.
  • Je werkt gestructureerd, ordelijk en nauwkeurig, met oog voor detail in softwarekwaliteit en technische documentatie.
