Hoe maak jij mee het verschil?

Als mechanieker ben je verantwoordelijk voor het herstellen en onderhouden van onderdelen van reizigerstreinen. Op die manier zorg er mee voor dat de reizigers kunnen rekenen op veilige treinen.

Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS?

  • Je herstelt samen met je collega's treinonderdelen zoals, binnen- en buiten deuren, ramen, vouwbalgen, interieurpanelen, automatische voettredes …Afhankelijk van slijtagecriteria zal je onderdelen vervangen of reviseren.
  • Voor de uitvoering van deze taken maak je gebruik van al dan niet aangedreven handgereedschappen en eenvoudige metaalbewerkingsmachines (o.a. kolomboor-, frees-, schuurband-, slijpmachine).
  • Voor complexe taken zijn werkinstructies, plannen of omschrijvende documentatie beschikbaar en wordt de nodige opleiding voorzien.
  • Je respecteert de specifieke veiligheidsregels.

Waarom is deze job iets voor jou?

  • Je hebt een diploma van het secundair onderwijs in het technisch of beroepsonderwijs (OK4) in een technische studierichting of een gelijkwaardigheidsattest. Of je hebt relevante ervaring (min. 2 jaar).

Daarnaast:

  • Je kan planlezen: maten, aanzichten, doorsneden, stuklijsten, … .
  • Je kan technische documentatie interpreteren en hebt materiaalkennis.
  • Je beheerst de elementaire metaalbewerkingstechnieken zoals boren, slijpen, schuren, plaatbewerking, schoonmaken, ontvetten, smeren, samenstellen,….
  • Je werkt kwaliteitsvol en efficiënt.
  • Je kan zelf de uit te voeren werken organiseren.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van de Nederlandse taal, zowel mondeling alsook schriftelijk om bv. de werken te beschrijven.
  • Je werkt in dagdienst (7u30 - 16u). Je bent wel bereid om, indien nodig, in de toekomst in te stappen in een 2-ploegensysteem (6u-14u en 14u-22u).
