Die Österreichische Nationalbank in 1090 Wien, sucht zur Verstärkung des Teams 1 Praktikum in der Abteilung Konjunktur (w/m/x) vorzugsweise mit Beginn 1. Jänner 2027, für die Dauer von 3 - 6 Monaten (Beschäftigungsausmaß von 50-100%)

Vollzeit oder Teilzeit (Befristung auf 3-6 Monate)

Ihre Aufgaben

* Mitarbeit in der Abteilung Konjunktur der Hauptabteilung Volkswirtschaft der Österreichischen Nationalbank

mit Schwerpunkt auf Inflationsanalyse und -prognose

* Enge Zusammenarbeit im Team mit Expertinnen und Experten der Inflations- und Preisentwicklungen in Österreich

* Mitwirkung an einem Forschungsprojekt zu haushaltsspezifischen Inflationsraten auf Basis der Mikrodaten der aktuellen Konsumerhebung

* Aufbereitung und Auswertung von Mikrodaten sowie Erstellung haushaltsspezifischer Warenkörbe und deren Verknüpfung mit Preisdaten

* Literaturrecherche und Beiträge zu Forschungsberichten und laufenden Studien

* Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Briefing-Unterlagen und Ad-hoc-Berichten für das Top-Management

Ihr Profil

Das bringen Sie mit

* Sie absolvieren derzeit ein fortgeschrittenes Masterstudium oder PhD-Studium im Bereich der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften oder in einem vergleichbaren Fachgebiet

* Sie verfügen über eine fundierte Ausbildung in den Bereichen Makroökonomie und Ökonometrie

* Sie interessieren sich für empirische wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Arbeit, insbesondere für Fragestellungen der Inflationsmessung und -analyse. Interesse oder erste Erfahrungen mit Survey- und Mikrodaten sind von Vorteil

* Sie arbeiten gerne mit Daten und sind in der Lage auch in komplexen Datensätzen relevante Informationen zu identifizieren

* Sie bringen Programmiererfahrung in R, Python oder einer vergleichbaren Programmiersprache mit und legen Wert auf gut strukturierten und hochwertigen Code

* Sie haben Erfahrung in der Datenaufbereitung sowie Visualisierung

* Sie erledigen Aufgabenstellungen eigenständig und kommunizieren proaktiv in einem Team
