De bestuursleden van het hof handelen vanuit gelijkwaardigheid, collegialiteit en een gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid. Daarnaast verricht je op landelijk (Rechtspraakbreed) niveau taken en activiteiten in goede samenwerking met bestuursleden van andere gerechten en landelijke diensten, waaronder in het Presidenten-Raad Overleg. In het dagelijkse werk ligt binnen het bestuur de nadruk op de eigen portefeuilles, die elkaar soms kunnen overlappen en om afstemming en samenwerking vragen. Als president ben je de voorzitter van het bestuur en van de gerechtsvergadering. Extern representeer je het gerechtshof Den Haag. Samenwerken en elkaar versterken staan daarbij centraal. Je dient te beschikken over samenbindend vermogen door een sterke overtuigingskracht. Deze overtuigingskracht komt voort uit betrokkenheid bij de inhoud van het werk. Bij voorkeur heb je ervaring in en kennis van de appelrechtspraak. Je hebt als president oog voor de mensen in de organisatie en voor hun belangen en je gebruikt je omgevingssensitiviteit om met een hoge mate van realiteitszin inhoud te geven aan een presidentschap dat dienstbaar is aan de organisatie. Je bent concreet in je presentatie en communicatie en altijd respectvol in je optreden. Je hebt en toont actieve betrokkenheid bij maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen.
