Je rijdt de rollen met een heftruck naar de juiste machine en verwerkt ze tot kleinere rollen of vellen. Je werkt onder andere met omrollers, vellensnijders en zagen. Soms zaag je een rol smaller, soms rol je papier opnieuw op of snijd je het tot losse vellen. Er zijn super veel verschillende soorten papier en karton dat je verwerkt dus lekker afwisselend! In het begin assisteer je vooral de ervaren machine-operators.
