Production Manager Sinter Plant - Velsen-Noord - Location: Velsen-Noord - Hours per week: 40 - Salary indication: >100K - Professional level: Bachelor (HBO) - Asset management lifecycle: Production & Maintenance - Employment type: Interim - Field of study: Mechanical Engineering - Function group: Mechanical Engineering - Function area: Production and Maintenance Introduction Production must continue every day, while deviations in quality, capacity, and process require timely decisions. Function You will work closely with operators, production team leaders, maintenance, and process management. Their observations on the shop floor, combined with production figures, form the basis for your decisions. Approximately half of your time is spent on current production issues; the other half is dedicated to improvements and long-term projects. - You monitor production results daily, visualize deviations in reports, and determine which actions are necessary. - You use Daily Management to identify problems in production, quality, or process operations early and adjust priorities accordingly. - You coordinate with production, maintenance, and process management on how disruptions are resolved and how recurrence can be prevented. - You oversee the recording of production data and the management of work regulations and instructions. - You incorporate environmental management into the daily operation of the plant. - You work on improvement projects according to Operational Excellence principles, with a focus on production, quality, and the safeguarding of work processes. The position requires someone who dares to make decisions based on data and knows what is happening on the factory floor. The Sinter Plant produces sinter for the blast furnaces.
