Voor een internationaal actieve en hoogtechnologische machinebouwer in de regio Kortrijk zoeken we een Manufacturing Engineer Machining. In deze functie vorm je de technische brug tussen R&D en productie en zorg je ervoor dat nieuwe mechanische componenten op een slimme, kwalitatieve en kostenefficiënte manier geproduceerd kunnen worden.

Je komt terecht in een state-of-the-art productieomgeving waar een groot deel van het productieproces volledig in eigen huis gebeurt. De organisatie investeert sterk in automatisering, digitalisering en smart manufacturing en kijkt daarbij vooruit naar steeds autonomere productieprocessen. Zowel ambitieuze schoolverlaters als ervaren professionals komen voor deze functie in aanmerking.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruit zien?

  • Je werkt nauw samen met R&D en engineering bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe componenten en beoordeelt ontwerpen vanuit maakbaarheid en productie-efficiëntie.
  • Je adviseert engineers over technische haalbaarheid, kostprijs en standaardisatie en stelt alternatieven voor waar deze een efficiënter productieproces mogelijk maken.
  • Je bepaalt de optimale productiestrategie en bewerkingsmethodes voor nieuwe mechanische onderdelen voordat deze naar productie gaan.
  • Je ontwikkelt en optimaliseert CAM-programma's voor CNC-bewerkingen en werkt hierbij onder andere met ESPRIT.
  • Je detecteert vooraf mogelijke productierisico's, bottlenecks en machining-uitdagingen en werkt oplossingen uit om problemen tijdens productie te vermijden.
  • Je optimaliseert bestaande bewerkingsstrategieën, tooling, werkmethodes en productieflows met focus op kwaliteit, kost, flexibiliteit en productiviteit.
  • Je werkt mee aan projecten rond automatisering, digitalisering en smart manufacturing en onderzoekt hoe nieuwe technologieën binnen productie kunnen worden toegepast.
  • Je draagt actief bij aan de verdere ontwikkeling van een steeds autonomere productieomgeving en toekomstgerichte concepten zoals onbemande productie en de 'dark factory' van morgen.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • Je beschikt over een bachelor of master binnen Mechanica, Elektromechanica, Manufacturing of een vergelijkbare technische richting, of hebt relevante ervaring binnen verspaning, CNC, CAM-programmatie of production engineering.
  • Je hebt een sterke interesse in machining, verspaning en productieprocessen en combineert technisch inzicht met sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
  • Ervaring met CAM-software en CNC-productie is een troef; kennis van ESPRIT is mooi meegenomen maar geen vereiste aangezien hiervoor opleiding wordt voorzien.
  • Je bent hands-on en pragmatisch ingesteld en spreekt professioneel Nederlands; kennis van Engels en Frans is een belangrijke meerwaarde.
