Daar begint engineering bij Wajer. Een inspectieluik verdwijnt achter een kastje en een kluisgat zie je pas als je het nodig hebt. Het ontwerp is leidend en de techniek past zich daaraan aan. Omdat we in serie bouwen, komt elke oplossing terug op volgende jachten. Wajer ontwerpt en bouwt die jachten in Friesland: jaarlijks ruim 60, van de Wajer 38 tot de 77. Ons eerste jacht van ruim 100 ft is in productie en we werken al aan de volgende generatie modellen. Sinds 2020 is onze omzet verdrievoudigd. Vanuit eigen hubs van Miami tot Zuid-Frankrijk ontzorgen we eigenaren wereldwijd, volledig in lijn met ons motto "Without a worry". CEO Dries Wajer houdt van een informele sfeer en stelt hoge eisen aan kwaliteit en innovatie. In engineering merk je dat aan korte lijnen. We zoeken twee Project Engineers, omdat we engineeringwerk dat we eerder soms uitbesteedden weer in huis halen. Tegelijk starten er nieuwe projecten: specials voor het jacht van ruim 100 ft en een compleet nieuw model dat nu opstart. Onze design engineers doen nu nog een deel van de uitwerking zelf. Met jou erbij kunnen zij zich weer richten op het ontwerp. Dit wordt jouw werk Een nieuw ontwerp gaat bij Wajer langs drie teams. Design Engineering bepaalt de lijnen en het uiterlijk van het jacht. Production Line Engineering maakt aan het eind de detailtekeningen en stuklijsten waarmee de werf bouwt. Jij zit daar precies tussenin, bij Project Engineering: het team waar Project Engineers en Engineers van een ontwerp iets maken dat ook echt gebouwd kan worden. Je trekt je eigen projecten op het gebied van werktuigbouw: bewegende delen aan dek en leidingwerk. Elektra hoort daar niet bij. Soms is dat een kleinere...
