Project Manager HSE Transformation - Velsen-Noord - Location: Velsen-Noord - Hours per week: 40 - Salary indication: 75-100K - Professional level: Bachelor (HBO) - Asset management lifecycle: Production & Maintenance - Employment type: Interim - Field of study: HQSE - Function group: HQSE - Function area: Consultancy Introduction Health, safety, and environment are central to the agreements between the steel company, the government, and the surrounding area. This is where the HSE projects that implement these agreements are led. Function What you will do · You lead HSE projects that affect multiple plants and departments, during a period in which the national government, province, regulators, and local residents are watching closely. A project is only complete when the change is secured within the business units themselves. · You translate the HSE strategy, legal requirements, and agreements with the government and the surrounding area into projects with a business case that the MT can weigh against other major investments, such as those for the transition to green steel. · You organize the decision-making process: which decisions the MT or steering committee must make, when, and based on what information. · You work with business units that produce 24/7, where every HSE measure must fit alongside production and maintenance. You find that space, make agreements, and hold people to them. · You provide functional leadership to project teams of HSE specialists, staff departments, and external parties, without them reporting to you hierarchically.
