Bij Konnekt zijn we op zoek naar een R&D Engineer.

Voor een internationaal productiebedrijf in regio Dentergem zoeken we een R&D Engineer die mee wil bouwen aan nieuwe producten, materialen en productieprocessen.

De organisatie behoort tot de Europese marktleiders binnen muurdecoratie en ontwikkelt en produceert vanuit België voor klanten over de hele wereld. Achter het eindproduct zit een sterk technische omgeving waarin onder andere inkten, coatings, polymeren en verschillende productie- en druktechnieken samenkomen.

Als R&D Engineer werk je dicht bij de productie aan chemische procesinnovatie en productontwikkeling. Een belangrijk aandachtspunt voor de komende jaren is de verdere ontwikkeling van PVC-toepassingen én de zoektocht naar duurzame, betaalbare alternatieven.

Je komt terecht in een compact R&D-team en krijgt veel ruimte om eigen projecten vast te nemen en nieuwe ideeën naar de productie te brengen.

Functieomschrijving

  • Je werkt aan R&D-projecten rond materialen, chemische samenstellingen en productieprocessen.
  • Je onderzoekt hoe bestaande materialen en processen verder geoptimaliseerd kunnen worden.
  • Je zoekt naar duurzame alternatieven voor bestaande grondstoffen, met aandacht voor kwaliteit, technische prestaties en kostprijs.
  • Je begeleidt ontwikkelingen van testing en analyse tot implementatie in productie.
  • Je zet proeven op, analyseert resultaten en vertaalt deze naar concrete verbeteringen.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met productie en volgt nieuwe toepassingen ook op de werkvloer op.
  • Je volgt nieuwe ontwikkelingen binnen chemie, materialen en sustainability en vertaalt interessante opportuniteiten naar nieuwe projecten.
  • Je werkt samen met collega's binnen R&D, productie en kwaliteit.
  • Je beschikt over een master binnen Chemie, Chemische Technologie, Materiaalkunde of een vergelijkbare richting. Ook een PhD kan aansluiten.
  • Je hebt een sterke interesse in materialen, polymeren en chemische productieprocessen.
  • Ervaring met PVC, coatings, polymeren of vergelijkbare materialen is een sterke troef.
  • Zowel een sterke schoolverlater als iemand met enkele jaren relevante ervaring komt in aanmerking.
  • Je bent analytisch en onderzoekend, maar tegelijk pragmatisch genoeg om ideeën naar een werkbare productieoplossing te vertalen.
  • Je werkt graag dicht bij productie en neemt zelfstandig verantwoordelijkheid over projecten.
  • Innovatie en duurzaamheid spreken je sterk aan.
  • Nederlands beheers je op C2-niveau.
