Bij dit bedrijf draait alles om het ontwikkelen, optimaliseren en toekomstgericht maken van innovatieve tilliften en aanverwante hulpmiddelen. Als R&D Engineer ligt de focus voornamelijk op de doorontwikkeling van bestaande producten, waarbij complexe technische uitdagingen worden vertaald naar slimme, praktische oplossingen. Het bedrijf biedt een dynamische omgeving waarin kwaliteit, gebruiksgemak en innovatie centraal staan.

Binnen deze functie is het takenpakket breed en gevarieerd. Het kritisch analyseren van het huidige productgamma vormt de basis om technische verbeteringen door te voeren op het gebied van functionaliteit, kwaliteit en maakbaarheid. Om de praktijkbehoeften echt te begrijpen, horen ook regelmatige bezoeken aan klanten en eindgebruikers bij de rol. Deze waardevolle inzichten uit het veld worden vervolgens omgezet in concrete mechanische concepten, vaak in nauwe samenwerking met interne collega's en externe engineeringpartners.

Daarnaast is een vlotte cross-functionele samenwerking essentieel: er vindt doorlopend afstemming plaats met de afdelingen productie, kwaliteit en aankoop om ervoor te zorgen dat elke oplossing efficiënt en kwalitatief kan worden geïmplementeerd. Ook het strategisch meedenken over technische componenten, slimme sturingen en de juiste leverancierskeuzes behoort tot de verantwoordelijkheid. Tot slot wordt het volledige ontwikkelingstraject zorgvuldig afgerond met de nodige technische verslaggeving en documentatie.

  • Een masterdiploma (industrieel ingenieur, (elektro)mechanica, of gelijkwaardig) vormt de basis van jouw theoretische kennis.
  • Minstens 5 tot 10 jaar relevante ervaring binnen productontwikkeling, machinebouw of mechanical engineering is vereist om deze rol zelfstandig in te vullen.
  • Sterk mechanisch conceptueel denken wordt in deze functie gecombineerd met een praktische en pragmatische instelling.
  • Voldoende basiskennis van elektronica is noodzakelijk om elektrische schema’s te begrijpen en de technische logica vlot te volgen.
  • Ervaring met SolidWorks is een sterke plus voor het uitwerken van de concepten.
  • Als geboren teamplayer werk je graag samen met verschillende afdelingen binnen een omgeving waar overleg centraal staat.
  • Een vlotte communicatie in het Nederlands en een zeer goede kennis van het Engels zijn essentieel voor de interne en externe contacten.
  • Zelfstandigheid, initiatief en feeling met een familiale KMO-structuur typeren jouw werkhouding.
